Binagoongan Baboy, Pork in Salted Shrimp Paste

Hi Hello once again to Food Lovers like i have one menu that all gonna be love it a simple recipi but i think that you love but first try to buy to your neariest market.Binagoongan Baboy, Pork in Salted Shrimp Paste. If you live in a flat or building and have neighbors of other nationality then cooking bagoong na alamang is a change you have to take and hoping your neighbors wont come knocking at your door. I my self live in a flat lucky for me, our neighbors in the same floor are Filipino. If you really want to have this dish then you have to use bottled pre-sautéed salted shrimp paste. The shrimp paste is to be added only in the last few minutes of cooking and keep it covered.


Pork Binagoongan Ingredients:
1 kilo pork liempo; cut in serving pieces
1/2 cup shrimp bagoong
4 cloves garlic; minced
1 small onion; chopped
1 medium tomato; sliced in 8 pcs.
1 teaspoon Philippine bird's eye pepper (siling labuyo)
5 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 eggplant; cut in slices

Procedure:Wash pork thoroughly put in a sauce pan add 3 cups of water, vinegar, bay leaf and pepper corn bring to a boil and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until tender and start to render oil. Remove scum that rises add more water as necessary. Stir fry fork until color turn to light brown and start to sizzle, set aside. In the same pan, sauté garlic, onion and tomatoes for a few minutes until soft and wilted. Add bagoong alamang, sugar and the pork. cover and cook for another 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally until done. Serve hot with a lot of rice.
